Former Supreme Leader of Iran Seyyed Ali Khamenei was assassinated by President Donald Trump in a targeted airstrike that also killed his daughter, granddaughter daughter in law, and son in law in late February of this year.
His funeral, which was held in early July, has become the highest attended funeral in history. Millions in Iran attended the proceedings and millions more honored him in other countries like Iraq.
We do not condone nor condemn the actions of the former Supreme Leader nor his government. However, Khamenei’s global influence is undeniable. Islam is on the rise around the world; to let this go unnoticed may be a grave mistake.
